Hiro Ueki

Hiro Ueki is an accomplished Professor in the Faculty of Global Studies at Sophia University in Tokyo since April 1, 2014, specializing in the United Nations, international organizations, and conflict resolution.

He has a Ph.D. in International Relations from Columbia University and a BA in International Relations and Foreign Language from Sophia University in Tokyo.

Aside from his professorial duties at Sophia University, Hiro Ueki also taught an intensive UN course at Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo and served as a Visiting Scholar at Columbia University in New York from July to September 2014.

Prior to his current role, he held various positions including Chief of Service at the United Nations, Professor at Aoyama Gakuin University, Chairman of the Sophia University Alumni Association in New York, and roles as an Information Officer and Spokesman at the United Nations.
