Hiranya Samarasekera is a seasoned professional with a versatile background in software engineering, enterprise architecture, and engineering management, boasting more than 20 years of expertise in crafting sophisticated solutions for large-scale enterprise applications and customer-centric internet products and services. With a comprehensive educational foundation that includes a Master of Arts in Public Policy, Economics from O.P. Jindal Global University, an MBA in International Business, and a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Software Engineering from Edith Cowan University, Hiranya combines academic rigor with practical skills.
Throughout his illustrious career, Hiranya has held key roles in various esteemed organizations. He has served as the Principal Advisor at the Ministry of Technology in Sri Lanka, the Country Head and Senior Vice President of Engineering at CODICE, and the Managing Partner at Equator Venture Partners. Additionally, his rich professional journey includes positions such as Chief Technology Officer at the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka, Director at the American Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka, Vice President of Engineering at Sysco Labs Sri Lanka, Senior Director of Engineering and Architecture at Sysco Labs Sri Lanka, Senior Software Architect at Sysco Labs Sri Lanka, and Visiting Lecturer at the Australian College of Business & Technology (ACBT). Hiranya has also contributed his expertise as a Software Architect at eBuilder Technology Centre, a Software Engineer at Aziolanka (Pvt) Ltd., and a Software Developer in freelance capacities.
