    Hilde Sagon is a legal professional with a rich academic background and extensive experience in international humanitarian law and human rights. Hilde holds a Master of Advanced Studies (LL.M) in International Humanitarian Law from the Geneva Academy for International Humanitarian Law. She also pursued a Master's degree in Law at KU Leuven, focusing on Comparative Human Rights, International Law, and Children’s Rights. Additionally, she completed Russian language studies at both KU Leuven and Saint Petersburg State University.

    With a strong dedication to her field, Hilde has contributed significantly to the efforts of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). She has served as a Regional Adviser on counter-terrorism measures and sanctions and has held various roles within the organization, including Legal Advisor/Protection Delegate, Restoring Family Links Delegate, Detention (Protection) Delegate, and Legal Advisor, with assignments in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Prior to her work at the ICRC, Hilde gained experience as a Teaching Assistant at KU Leuven and as a Legal Trainee at the Permanent Mission of Belgium to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland.
