    Herman Eagar, known as Manie, is a futurist with a legal background and a successful international strategic management history in various sectors including financial services, IT, telecommunications, broadcast and mobile media, entertainment, and investment management.

    Manie's expertise lies in digital currencies, tokenization, blockchain applications, and digital asset tokenization, value creation, and exchange. He played a pivotal role in launching the world's first bitcoin ATM in Vancouver, BC in 2013.

    He has held significant roles such as Director of the Bitcoin Alliance of Canada and Founder and Chairman of the Blockchain Association of Canada, advocating for best practices in blockchain, crypto exchanges, banking, decentralized finance (DeFi), and digital asset value exchange (DAVEX).

    His career highlights include leadership positions at globally recognized companies like Barclays/ABSA, Dimension Data, Vodafone, GrupoSalinas-TVAzteca/MNet, J&J Group, Old Mutual, and engagements with the Canadian Senate on Digital Currencies regulation.

    Manie has also been involved in pioneering projects like the first live weekly Blockchain TV show in China, and he was a contributing author to the first-ever FinTechBook on Amazon's bestseller list.

    Passionate about creating sustainable and inclusive futures while respecting the environment, Manie holds degrees in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from Stanford University and a BA LLB in Legal from the University of Pretoria.

    Over the years, he has been affiliated with various organizations serving in advisory, co-founder, founder & chairman, general manager, country manager, president & CEO, executive director, and consultant roles.
