Henry Zhang is the President and Managing Partner at Hermitage Capital, a tech-focused private equity firm with over US$1.2 billion in AUM and offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and New York.
He has led investments in tech unicorns such as Horizon Robotics, SmartMore, XTalPi, ScaleFlux, PingCap, Innovusion, and Factorial Energy.
Before his current role, Henry gained over a decade of investment banking experience, holding senior positions at top investment banks. He was the Executive Director of the Investment Banking Division at J.P. Morgan, overseeing investments in China's transportation, logistics, and enterprise technology sectors. He also served as Vice President and Operating Officer of China Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley and as Associate Director of the Asia-Pacific Investment Banking Department at UBS.
Throughout his career, Henry has successfully led and participated in more than 60 transactions, totaling over US$60 billion in transaction value.
In terms of education, Henry holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Rice University.
Aside from his current role, Henry has also been involved in various organizations. He is the CEO and Co-Founder of KoGi可及 and has previously worked as an Operations Associate at Peek.com, a Senior Associate Consultant at Bain & Company, and interned at Freescale Semiconductor.
