Henry Ward

Henry Ward is the CEO and co-founder of Carta, a company that specializes in managing equity and ownership for private and public companies, as well as investment funds. Under his leadership, Carta has become a trusted platform for over 40,000 companies and more than 7,000 investment funds, facilitating the management of cap tables, valuations, and liquidity solutions. The company has successfully returned $14 billion to shareholders through secondary transactions and has received recognition on various prestigious lists, including Forbes' World’s Best Cloud Companies and Fast Company’s Most Innovative list.1

Before founding Carta in July 2012, Ward was the founder and CEO of Secondsight, a portfolio optimization platform for retail investors. He has also held significant roles at software companies such as Reddwerks Inc. and BetweenMarkets. Ward holds a Bachelor of General Studies in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science in Market Finance from EDHEC Business School.12
