Henry Cortes is a seasoned professional with almost three decades of experience in general construction, specializing in solar photovoltaic (PV) installations. He is the CEO and Founder of Core Development Group, a prominent national solar contracting company catering to commercial, government, and utility-scale projects. Cortes is renowned for his expertise in project finance, construction science, business development, team management, and operational optimization.

In 2012, Cortes established Core Development Group to drive sustainability initiatives through solar development, offering a comprehensive range of services that includes developers, project managers, construction experts, engineering partners, and a quality assurance/quality control team. The collective experience of the team amounts to a remarkable 2.6 GW in designing and developing solar projects.

Under Cortes' leadership, Core Development Group presently has a robust portfolio with an estimated 500MW in various stages of construction and development across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. The company continues to make significant strides in advancing solar energy solutions for diverse clients and communities.

Henry Cortes holds an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Ramapo College of New Jersey, complemented by a Bachelor's degree from William Paterson University of New Jersey. His educational background enriches his professional acumen and strategic decision-making abilities, further enhancing his leadership in the renewable energy sector.

Throughout his career, Cortes has held key positions in reputable organizations, including Vice President of Project Management at BayWa Solar Projects LLC, Project Manager at Martifer Solar, Owner of Associated Electric Inc., and Electrician at Lombardi Electric. These roles have honed his skills and expertise in solar project development, construction management, and electrical systems, contributing to his comprehensive understanding of the industry.
