Hena Doba is a seasoned TV Journalist currently serving as a host for Cheddar News, anchoring various shows including 'Cheddar Climate - the Fight for Change,' 'Search for a Cure - Covid 19,' and the 'News Wrap.'
Prior to her role at Cheddar, she worked as a National Correspondent for CBS News in New York, where she hosted 'The National Desk with Hena Doba' and reported live from the New York Stock Exchange on consumer, business, and economic stories.
With over 15 years of experience, Hena has excelled in public speaking, advertising, digital marketing, and public and media relations, along with a strong writing ability to effectively engage target audiences and viewers.
Her career journey includes being the 11pm Anchor/Reporter at WFSB in Hartford, CT, and starting as a one-man band reporter at WWTI-TV in Watertown, NY, before progressing to roles at WTOC-TV in Savannah, GA, and WFSB-TV.
Hena's accolades include multiple awards like the Associated Press award for Best Spot News, Best Breaking News, and Best Sports Feature, as well as being voted Best Reporter by Hartford Magazine readers in 2009 and 2010.
Aside from her journalism work, she has also shared her knowledge by teaching journalism as an Adjunct Professor at Capital Community College and the Connecticut School of Broadcasting.
Hailing from Queens, N.Y., Hena holds dual bachelor's degrees in English and Psychology from the University at Buffalo, where she was also the Feature Editor of the school paper, 'The Spectrum.'
