Hema Surendranathan
Hema Surendranathan is a highly educated individual with a diverse academic background, including a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in English Language and Literature, a Master's degree in English Language and Literature, and a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Fiction from Cornell University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) with a remarkable 3.89/4.00 GPA, achieving Magna Cum Laude with departmental honors at Bryn Mawr College.
With a solid educational foundation that includes completing The International Baccalaureate Diploma at The International School of Kuala Lumpur and IGCSEs and GCEs at elc International School, Hema has shown a dedication to academic excellence from an early age.
Hema Surendranathan has gained valuable experience through various roles in prestigious organizations. She has served as a Graduate Instructor, Graduate Policy and Curriculum Committee Representative, and Graduate Researcher at Cornell University. Furthermore, she has interned at Aberdeen Standard Investments as an Equities & ESG Intern, gained experience in social media coordination and customer experience at Handy HQ, and worked as an Editorial Intern at Guernica Magazine and a Publishing Intern at Electric Literature.
