Heloise Balme is a sustainability professional who transitioned to a green career after working in the travel industry. She completed a Masters in Sustainable Development at UWE (University of the West of England) while starting a family.1 After graduating, she gained experience in project management and sustainable agriculture through freelance work with The Community Farm, a social enterprise near Bristol.1
Heloise is a member of the Catalyse Change Advisory Board, an organization that supports young women pursuing careers in sustainability.1 She became involved with Catalyse Change during its inception, offering her skills to help launch the first bootcamp while fulfilling her masters' work placement module.1
Prior to her career change, Heloise worked in commercial roles for large travel companies, progressing to senior management positions.1 She holds a degree in Hotel and Tourism Management, which she obtained in 1999.1
Heloise is passionate about environmental issues and social justice. She is motivated by her children and the critical need to shape a sustainable future.1 Her current role as Gold For Gold Campaign - Bid Researcher at BRISTOL FOOD NETWORK CIC aligns with her interests in sustainability and her experience in the food sector.
