Helen Tilley is a seasoned city solicitor with over 18 years of experience, specializing in coverage advice, dispute resolution, fraud, product development and drafting, data protection & GDPR, compliance, and regulatory advice. Her expertise extends to various insurance sectors such as life, protection, critical illness, income protection, personal accident, A&H, sports cover, specialty insurance, contingency insurance, travel insurance coverage, including personal liability and overseas legal expenses. She has a strong background in insurance and reinsurance, particularly with Lloyd's syndicates and Friendly (Holloway) societies. With nearly 30 years of experience in coverage advice and dispute resolution, she has also delved into product development, insurance policy, reinsurance treaty drafting, regulatory and compliance issues, as well as data protection and GDPR compliance. Helen actively contributes to the insurance industry through her involvement in various committees and associations, such as the IIL Accident Committee, the International Underwriters Association Personal Accident & Health Committee, and the IUA's Contingency Claims Committee. She holds an LLB (Hons) in Law from the University of Wales, Cardiff, and currently serves as a partner at Carter Perry Bailey LLP. Her previous roles include positions at Kennedys, Davies Lavery, Nabarro Nathanson, and Turner Kenneth Brown.
