Helen Blackmore

Helen Blackmore is a professional architectural historian with a strong academic background, originally from England and currently based in the United States.

She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Medieval Studies and Art History at The University of British Columbia in Canada and further pursued her Master of Science in Historic Preservation at the University of Oregon in the US.

Helen has a rich professional history, having worked in various roles such as Senior Environmental Planner - Branch Chief Architectural History at Caltrans and as an Associate Environmental Planner - Architectural Historian at the same organization.

Her diverse experience includes roles such as Education Intern at Maidstone Museum and Bentliff Art Gallery, Collections Assistant at Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, and Archival Intern at The British Museum, among others.

Helen is passionate about applying her personal preservation ethics and innovative ideas to the field, continuously seeking to enhance her knowledge through new theories and methodologies for the advancement of architectural history.
