Heidi Fraser-Krauss
Chief Executive Officer at Jisc
Heidi Fraser-Krauss is the chief executive officer of Jisc, appointed in September 2021.23 She was elected to the board of GÉANT for a three-year term in November 2022.15 Fraser-Krauss has an extensive background in higher education leadership, including roles as executive director of corporate services at the University of Sheffield and deputy registrar at the University of York.23
She holds a degree in psychology and management studies from the University of Glasgow and has research interests in how communication in teams supports innovation.23 Fraser-Krauss has been chair of the Universities and College Information Systems Association (ucisa) and the Russell Group Universities IT Directors group (RUGIT).23
In 2017, Fraser-Krauss was named female CIO of the year by Computing Magazine.2 Her role on the GÉANT board allows Jisc to continue supporting and influencing GÉANT's direction for the benefit of researchers, students, staff, and the economies they serve.1 As of November 21, 2024, Fraser-Krauss was re-elected to the GÉANT Board of Directors.4
