Heather O'Neil

Senior Program Manager at I-TECH and Global WACh under the University of Washington Department of Global Health

Heather O'Neil is a dynamic professional with more than 12 years of experience in international and domestic community development, excelling in project management, resource mobilization, and implementation. Her expertise spans various fields, including literacy and education, livelihoods and income generation, and public health with a focus on HIV/AIDS.

He holds a Master of Arts degree in International Political Economy and Development from Fordham University, where he concentrated on development studies. Heather obtained his Bachelor's degree in Political Science and History from the University of Michigan and pursued further studies in South African Politics and History at the University of Cape Town, as well as in Czech Politics and History at Charles University in Prague.

Throughout his career, Heather O'Neil has held key roles in prominent organizations. Currently, he serves as the Program Manager for Gut Health at Global WACh within the University of Washington Department of Global Health. Previously, he managed technical programs in Ukraine and Côte d'Ivoire for the International Training and Education Center for Health at the same institution. Heather has also worked in various capacities at TechSoup, Rebuilding Together San Francisco, Worldreader, EcoAgriculture Partners, Catholic Relief Services, USAID, Fordham Bedford Housing Corporation, Detroit Department of Health, World Vision, and the HIV/AIDS Resource Center.
