Heather Champ

Heather Champ is an experienced professional who delved into online platforms since 1994 when she built her first homepage. With a background in Fine and Studio Arts from the University of Guelph, she has made significant contributions to the digital community.

Heather's passion for photography led her to establish The Mirror Project during 1999-2006, a pioneering photography website that highlighted self-portraiture and amassed over 34,000 submissions globally. She also played a key role in the creation and nurturing of JPG Magazine, a community-driven photography publication.

Heather Champ has held pivotal roles in various organizations, including being the Director of Community at Flickr, Co-Founder at Fertile Medium, and contributing to the growth of FiftyThree and Findery. Currently based in the outskirts of Portland, she shares her home with her husband, three dogs, six goats, and twenty-six chickens, showcasing her love for animals and rural life.
