- Lead and managed several multi-disciplinary teams of consultants to provide constructability and value-for-money services to the NSW Government for the development of North West Rail Link Project (Project Value AUD$9bn). E&P's work fed directly into the planning, scheduling, estimation, approval, and community relations work-streams. Was responsible for day-to-day client relationship management, and assisted in the overall commercial management of the assignment.
- Provided engineering and management advice to public sector clients and to ASX200 companies, namely large contractors, infrastructure funds, financiers and asset owners.

Senior Consultant

Interlink Roads is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) owned by Transurban, AMP Capital, Hastings Funds Management (HFM) and Industry Funds Management (IFM). They are the concessionaire for a 21km tolled motorway in South West Sydney. I had two major (but highly contrasting) roles at Interlink; a Project Manager responsible for delivery of Capex projects (see next entry) and a Project Coordinator and Direct Assistant to the Lead Negotiator for the development, negotiation and financing of a AUD$400m PPP road-widening project – an 18-month task with a budget of over $10m. 


M5 Widening Project Roles, Responsibilities & Achievements:

-	Management, coordination and support of commercial and technical teams (9 teams in total), with heavy input into the technical side during design and development
-	Project Planning and Control (including creating budgets for development stages), and contract administration
-	Development of CAPEX and OPEX inputs for the Project Financial Model
-	Management of the Technical Due Diligence Process, and technical inputs into commercial Information Memorandums required for financing
-	Contractor Procurement and Negotiation to obtain D&C Fixed Price 
-	Development of Project Deeds (D&C Contract, IV Deed, Sub-IV Deed etc)
-	Working-with-Government and Government Negotiation (Technical & Commercial)
-       Preparation of negotiation materials, and monthly status reports to Interlink Management and Interlink's Board of Directors
-	High and frequent exposure to SPV-board level Private Equity Executives

Project Coordinator & Direct Assistant to Lead Negotiator

M5 Accommodation Upgrade Roles, Responsibilities and Achievements:

-	Responsible for the delivery of what was originally a $6.0m construct-on-site office duplication project. Project was shovel ready and tendered by July 2009, but project was cancelled due to adverse equity market conditions at the time
- I proposed that a pre-fabricated modular office be considered, and that I could deliver it for $3.0m, based on initial design, project development and estimation. As well as meeting all requirements in the original brief, my option also significantly reduced risk to essential toll-road business continuity and Operational Health, Safety and Environmental (OHSE) issues.
-	I was commissioned by Interlink’s equity investors to undertake DCF Project Valuation and Financial Modelling of 5 different rent / purchase / construct project options. My proposal had the most superior NPV, and was given approval by Interlink's Board in August 2010.
-	Responsible for the design, tendering, procurement, and assurance of 24/7 business continuity during works adjacent to a live motorway, as well as all project management functions and reporting
-	Delivered the project under budget, and on schedule in July 2011, confirming the robustness of my financial model and general project planning and management skills

Project Manager - Civil

I was a Site Engineer in the Desal North Works Team, a team responsible for roughly $200m of civil works as part of the wider $2bn PPP Desal project. Sydney Desalination Plant Pty Ltd (SDP), which holds the long term lease for the operation of the plant, is jointly owned by the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board (OTPP) and Hastings Funds Management. 

My duties and responsibilities included the following:
- On-site management and supervision of subcontractors, including coordination of works and procurement of materials
- Verification of completed works and evaluation of progress claims
- Project Planning and Control
- On-site Risk Identification and Management

Achievements:
- Redesigned tunnel gasket work process to increase productivity by 350% and decrease costs by 80%, resulting in an overall saving of approximately $200,000.
- Redesigned a stainless steel vortex plate, resulting in a saving of $80,000.

Site Engineer - Sydney's Desalination Plant

As a Civil Structures Engineer at Arup, my roles and responsibilities included the following:

- Design and rating of bridge and other civil sturctures (concrete and steel)
- Pavement Design (rigid & flexible)
- Internal Project Quality Audits to ISO9001
- Working in multi-disciplinary teams (traffic, acoustic, environmental, ecology, civil etc) for large Public and PPP infrastructure projects (capital value of projects typically in the area of $1bn)
