Embedded Firmware Engineer

- Key member of the Transceiver Resource Manager (TRM) team which develops C/C++ services to schedule, arbitrate and efficiently allocate transceiver resources (from VCOs to front end Antennas) to software radio access technologies (RATs) such as LTE, GSM, WCDMA etc. - Developing firmware for their flagship Snapdragon X50 modem to enable coexistence of NR5G with other radio technologies - Ensuring concurrent operation of these RATs in a real time environment with defined time constraints- Implementing inter-processor communication between the 5G and 4G modem to provide 4G/5G dual connectivity - Implemented a mechanism to allocate MMW and SUB6 RFM paths to NR-5G by taking into consideration the restrictions introduced due to the presence of 4G LTE RAT- Collected paging denial rate information for each RAT which was used as a Key Performance Indicator to improve coverage based on the number of paging attempts denied per hour - Improved worst case execution time of core firmware modules from 600uSecs to 150uSecs.

Embedded Software Engineer

- EDN is a start up in the field of Automated Plantation coming up with two new products - the SmallGarden and the WallGarden- As an embedded intern, I worked on improving the circuit design for the customized boards developed for the SmallGreen using Atmega328p as the base controller- I wrote firmware to control the state of light depending on the amount of moisture content present in the soil and several other user functions- The moisture content was read from an external moisture sensor communicating with the controller using I2C communication - I contributed at all the stages of product development from system design, prototyping, firmware development, testing and marketing - EDN sold over 1000 SmallGarden in the first month of its launch

IoT Embedded Engineering Intern

- As an IoT firmware Intern, I worked on improving their Synergy Software Package(SSP) for IoT applications- I developed Real-time IOT applications using ThreadX RTOS which was provided to the customers buying the Renesas hardware boards - I improved the accuracy of memory usage analysis performed by Renesas Synergy Software Package (SSP) by developing a python tool to evaluate the static and dynamic memory allocation for each project- Evaluated the memory breakdown of the USBX module by tracking the memory allocation section of the code in the threadX RTOS files.-  Migrated the code repository from sharepoint to JAMA for better management of software development

- Key responsibilities as a Research and Development Intern included programming, interfacing and documenting several components like resistive touch screen, Zigbee, GSM module, GPS module, SPI, Bluetooth, joystick, graphical LCD, servomotor and few others using C programming and  P89V51RD2 as the base microcontroller - Was also responsible for hardware testing of components using a multi-purpose microcontroller base board which used multiplexing to interface several components to the controller enabling optimum utilization of its port pins
