Harsh Moolani
MD/MPH Student | President of Create Circles (we’re hiring)
Harsh Moolani is the founder and president of Create Circles, a nonprofit organization he established in May 2019 while still an undergraduate student at Washington University in St. Louis.13
Background and Education
Moolani graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in December 2019 with a degree in neuroscience.3 He is currently pursuing a dual MD/MPH degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where he is in his third year of studies.24
Create Circles
Create Circles is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that aims to reduce social isolation and cognitive decline among older adults in long-term care facilities.13 The organization pairs trained college student volunteers with older adults to work on creative projects such as memoirs, videos, or podcasts.3
Key achievements of Create Circles under Moolani's leadership include:
- Securing a $495,397.52 grant from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (2022-2025)4
- Training over 700 volunteers who visit residents in over 240 long-term care facilities across 30 states4
- Managing thousands of visits with nursing home residents during the COVID-19 pandemic4
