Harry Messersmith

Harry Messersmith is the President of NutriData, a company specializing in nutritional analysis and food labeling services. He has a robust educational background, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and Food Administration from California Polytechnic State University and a Master of Science degree in Foods and Nutrition from California State University, Long Beach. Additionally, he completed a dietetic internship at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and has been a Registered Dietitian (R.D.) since 1981.12

Before joining NutriData, Messersmith gained extensive experience in the food industry. He worked with one of California's largest food brokers and owned his own brokerage firm, focusing on product representation for food service and schools. His expertise includes product development, nutrition analysis, recipe development, and quality control. Notably, he has collaborated with the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) to enhance food services through effective bidding strategies that secured multiple-year contracts.13

Messersmith's career also includes roles such as Nutrition Specialist for LAUSD, Director of Technical Services at Preferred Meal Systems, and Senior Nutrition Program Manager for the City of Garden Grove.14 His leadership at NutriData reflects his commitment to innovative food solutions tailored to meet the needs of clients in various sectors, including schools and food manufacturers.
