Harm van Maanen is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in guiding various companies through restructuring processes.
His expertise spans across software, publishing, and digitalization sectors within the IT, construction, and medical industries.
Throughout his career, Harm has been involved in diverse ownership structures ranging from initial public offerings to venture capital/private equity-backed firms and multi-generational family businesses.
He excels in identifying and defining the need for change in organizations transitioning from their prime, with a track record of successfully implementing models that lay the foundation for future growth.
In recent years, he has actively supported numerous start-ups from inception to exit, appreciating the innovative spirit of the upcoming generation.
In October 2015, Harm joined forces with six like-minded managers, including notable figures like Jürgen Graalmann, Eckart von Hirschhausen, and Philipp Lahm, to leverage his strengths alongside theirs.
Later in March 2016, Mario Czaja, former Senator for Social Affairs, Health, and Nursing in Berlin, became the seventh member of the team, enhancing their capabilities.
Currently, as part of Die Brückenköpfe GmbH, Harm and his team oversee 15 healthcare start-ups while holding interests in all these ventures through Brückenköpfe Diamonds.
Additionally, they provide guidance to various large corporations in the healthcare sector, ranging from publishers and clinic chains to pharmaceutical companies.
Harm's educational background includes studying Architecture at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Dortmund, followed by obtaining an MBA from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
He has held key leadership positions at Die Brückenköpfe GmbH, Schlütersche Verlagsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG, Springer Science+Business Media, and Nemetschek AG.
