Harjaap Makkar is a dedicated professional who made the decision to temporarily step away from his corporate career in 2020 to focus on honing his skills in building production-grade applications. This detour led him to establish Zonado, a marketplace designed to address information imbalances within the Canadian commercial real estate sector, alongside a team of three individuals. Zonado's commitment to continuous improvement underscores its dedication to its mission.

With a zeal for creating exceptional user experiences, Harjaap Makkar also harbors interests in leveraging cellular agriculture as an alternative to animal agriculture, indulging in martial arts, and enjoying high-performance automobiles. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Commerce with First Class Honours from Queen's University, training in Front End Development from Juno College of Technology, and studies in Data Mining and Analytics during an international exchange program at Aston Business School.

Harjaap Makkar's professional journey encompasses various roles at prominent organizations. He currently serves as the Co-Founder of Zonado, while his prior experiences include positions such as Pricing Segmentation Specialist, Project Manager (SDLC), and Business Intelligence Consultant at Bell. Additionally, he has contributed as a Co-Chair at the Queen's Conference on Business & Technology (QCBT), served as an Intelligent Shopper Solutions Intern at Aimia Inc, and worked as a Research Assistant at the Smith School of Business at Queen's University.
