- Designed and launched the State Small Business Credit Initiative programs for North Dakota.
- Structured and negotiated convertible notes, SAFE agreements, loans, revenue based financing agreements, and more. 
- Helped manage a $100M portfolio of debt and equity investments. Built a system for portfolio management and analysis. 
- Underwrote and analyzed 25+ companies in industries spanning value-add energy, ag, UAS, biotech, and more.

North Dakota Department of Commerce

Venture Financing Manager, North Dakota Development Fund

- Performed due diligence, wrote investment memos, structured financing packages (SAFE, convertible notes, debt, equity), and pitched 30+ startups and established companies resulting in $16.5M in investments. Evaluated companies on fundamentals and economic impact
- Built relationships and collaborated with community, state, regional, and private stakeholders (VC, PE) to assist startups with fundraising and develop the entrepreneurship ecosystem in North Dakota
- Performed all fund accounting processes and assisted in writing and training staff on new accounting procedures after software conversion

Venture and Finance Analyst, North Dakota Development Fund

•	Designed and implemented a process within the OnBase file management system that shortens incident resolution time by two business days
•	Responsible for five projects at one time and completed more than 25 projects in three months, including learning the basics of SQL
•	Created project tracking solutions for CMs consisting of in-depth Excel spreadsheets that reduced missed deadlines from two to zero/month
•	Developed and delivered a training on G Suite to 27 employees, eliminating the need to hire a trainer and saving the company over $1,000 
•	Prepared presentations for management by creating a streamlined process using shared spreadsheets to aggregate data from six departments

Project Management Intern

Venture Capital Fund

I joined two colleagues to start a student-run venture capital fund to provide funding to startups in the Midwest, the least VC-funded region in the US. This organization provides students with a unique experience and gives them an opportunity to make a great impact. 

During my time with the fund, we pitched the fund to the NDSU board of directors, wrote the governing documents, built a website, interviewed and "hired" student members, and raised $100,000.

Pathway Ventures

Co-Founder and Managing Director of Business Development

Gained experience with Excel macros, SumIf formulas, and troubleshooting when performing portfolio risk weighting for clients.
Assisted with monthly reporting by researching bank ratings and the impact of the interest rates on the bank owned like insurance market.

A colleague and I started this organization in 2018 to encourage women to pursue careers they are passionate about and to become leaders within their organizations. Over the course of a year, I helped grow WIB to the largest College of Business organization with over 120 registered members. 

Women in Business is creating a community of women who inspire and support each other in their careers.
