Hank Durschlag

Hank Durschlag is the founder of BOA Nutrition, Inc., a sports nutrition company based in North Carolina that specializes in innovative nutritional products for athletes. Established in January 2020, BOA Nutrition has developed unique ingestible aerosol products, such as BOA Ignite and BOA Endure, which are designed to deliver essential nutrients rapidly and efficiently. The technology behind these products was developed in collaboration with experts at Duke University, allowing athletes to receive the sodium content equivalent to a 12-ounce sports drink in just a two-second spray.14

Before founding BOA Nutrition, Durschlag was involved with HeadTrainer, Inc., where he served as a Director. His entrepreneurial journey reflects a strong commitment to enhancing athletic performance through innovative nutritional solutions.45 Under his leadership, BOA Nutrition has attracted endorsements from notable athletes and secured partnerships within the sports industry, including collaborations with USA Triathlon and IRONMAN North America.13

Despite the company's initial success, BOA Nutrition faced challenges, including a bankruptcy filing in 2024, leading to a change in ownership by a group of investors who had previously supported its technology.2 Throughout his career, Durschlag has focused on creating products that help athletes optimize their performance, emphasizing the importance of rapid nutrient delivery in sports nutrition.35
