Hamza Sayah

Hamza Sayah is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Qevlar AI, a deep tech startup focused on developing innovative machine learning applications. He co-founded Qevlar AI in January 2023, where the team aims to transform security operations by automating and enhancing cybersecurity processes, moving away from traditional manual methods.12

Education and Early Career

Hamza holds a master's degree in applied mathematics, with a minor in computer science from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). His career began with roles in data science and machine learning, including positions at Plüm Énergie and Ponicode, where he contributed to significant advancements in software testing solutions and data-driven processes. Notably, he played a key role in Ponicode's acquisition by CircleCI.1

Professional Experience

Before founding Qevlar AI, Hamza worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at CircleCI and Visium Technologies, and he also had an internship at SpinningBytes AG, an ETH Zurich spin-off. His experiences have been instrumental in shaping his entrepreneurial journey and technical expertise in machine learning and AI.1

Achievements

Hamza has been recognized for his contributions to the field, including participating in international competitions such as the International Mathematical Olympiad and the Huawei Big Data Challenge, where he led his team to victory. He is fluent in English, French, and Arabic, enhancing his ability to collaborate in diverse environments.1
