Hamid Khan is the Manager of the Research Culture and Quality programme at Sense about Science, an independent campaigning charity.
He leads an international program promoting open and honest discussion of research quality among the research and scholarly publishing communities.
Hamid manages the Voice of Young Science (VoYS) network in the UK, a Europe-wide network of early career researchers, fostering confidence in media, policy, and public engagement.
He engages in training researchers, delivering speeches, and appearing on panels to advocate for researchers' involvement in public and policy debates about science and evidence.
Additionally, Hamid recruits and oversees interns, and facilitates judging processes for the John Maddox Prize.
With a Ph.D. in chemistry focusing on materials for electronic and energy applications, Hamid excels in communication, analysis, teamwork, and independent work.
He is keen on science communication and public engagement, particularly in socially challenging areas, challenging the notion that prestigious science careers are limited to academia or industry.
