Hakiem Simmons is a dedicated accountant turned programmer with a passion for coding that extends beyond the typical 9-to-5 job. With a Master's degree in Accounting from St. John's University, Hakiem has worked his way up through various roles in accounting and finance, including Accounting Manager at Nomad Financial and Corporate Accountant for Devices & Services at Google. Despite his success in the finance industry, Hakiem never lost his love for coding and continued to hone his skills in HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, Java, Python, and SQL at Coding Dojo by night.

Currently, Hakiem is an Engineering Resident at Google, where he has the opportunity to combine his passions for both coding and finance. He is adept at tackling complex problems, understanding data and analytics, and building technical solutions. Hakiem has also worked for Cater2.me, Meetup, and Apple in various roles.

With a unique skill set that bridges both accounting and programming, Hakiem is a valuable asset to any team. He is passionate about using technology to solve complex problems and has a strong work ethic and a collaborative mindset.
