Haakan Younes
Staff Software Engineer at Google
Haakan Younes is a prominent figure who has a rich background in computer science and decision-making. Formerly a Postdoctoral Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University, he conducted research on uncertainty analysis in system design and decision making. His work involved developing algorithms for probabilistic model checking and introducing the generalized semi-Markov decision process for decision-theoretic planning under temporal uncertainty. With specialties in information extraction, probabilistic model checking, and decision-theoretic planning, Haakan Younes holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, an M.S. in Computer Science and Technology from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and a background in computer science from UC Irvine. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Google, Haakan Younes brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from his previous roles as a Research Intern at Honeywell and a Research Assistant at Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan.
