Gwyn Cole

Director/Filmmaker at Still River Films and co-author of Developing WMI Solutions

Gwyn Cole is a filmmaker who has a passion for storytelling, honed over years of experience working in software engineering and professional photography. Cole's professional career started in software engineering, and she co-authored a technical computing book titled "Developing WMI Solutions" that remains on the recommended reading list within the Microsoft Developer Network. Despite her success in software, her heart always laid on the creative side of filmmaking.

Cole traveled to California to train with a respected film company and developed the skills necessary to make exceptional films, from planning, developing story structure, filming, lighting, sound design, and managing crews. Cole loves the creative mindset that drives her passion to deliver the best stories possible, a trait that led to her collaboration with fellow filmmaker Russell Sheath. Together they created inspiring films for the BBC that cover rarely talked-about topics like infertility resulting in a Royal Television Society nomination for Best Strand within a News or Magazine Programme.

Cole's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science from De Montfort University and Staffordshire University. Cole is currently the Managing Director of Still River Films and formerly managed Rebel Outlook Ltd.
