    Dr. Guy Palmer is a distinguished professional holding the Jan and Jack Creighton Endowed Chair at Washington State University (WSU) as the Regents Professor of Pathology & Infectious Diseases. He is the founding director of WSU’s Paul G. Allen School for Global Animal Health, currently serving as the Senior Director of Global Health. Additionally, he acts as the President of Global Animal Health-Tanzania and the Chairman of WSU Global Health-Kenya.

    Dr. Palmer's extensive accomplishments include being elected to the National Academy of Medicine, being an AAAS Medical Sciences Fellow, and serving as the President of the Washington State Academy of Sciences. With a background in Biology, summa cum laude, a DVM, and a PhD, he is board-certified in anatomic pathology. He has received numerous accolades and awards, such as the Poppensiek Professorship at Cornell and the AAVMC Distinguished Scientist Award.

    His contributions to academia have been recognized through honors like WSU’s Sahlin Award for Research, Scholarship, and the Arts, the Eminent Faculty Award, and the Alumni Achievement Award. He has also been distinguished with the Distinguished Alumnus and Alumni Fellow titles from Kansas State University and holds honorary doctorates from the University of Bern and Kansas State University.
