Guy Cortesi

Guy J. Cortesi, Ph.D., is the President and CEO of eSolve Solutions, Inc., with a vast background in engineering and computer science.

Currently a Teaching Faculty member at the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University at Albany, overseeing the Computer Engineering Department curriculum development and teaching engineering courses.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Cortesi held managerial positions at Bechtel, Inc. and worked in various engineering, leadership, and management roles at prominent companies like IBM, Texas Instruments, GE, and Apple Computer.

His educational journey includes a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Clarkson University, an MBA from East Tennessee State University, and a Ph.D. in Information and Computer Science from the University at Albany.

Dr. Cortesi's teaching experience spans over 17 years at the University at Albany, Union Graduate College, Siena College, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and more, covering areas such as Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics, and Business.

His specialties include strategic IT, online collaboration technology, organizational development, virtual organizational theory, networking technology, web page authoring, business development, and electrical and computer engineering.

His research interests focus on the effective use of technology in virtual environments and workplace collaboration through web-based solutions.
