He obtained his Agronomist Engineer degree with a focus on Agribusiness/Agricultural Business Operations from Universidade Federal de Viçosa.

Prior to his current role, Gustavo has taken on various roles at Bunge Brasil, including Agribusiness Relationship Manager, Corn Trader, Soybean Oil and Biodiesel Trader, Territory Manager, Trainee in Risk Management, and Intern during his time at the University of Minnesota.
