Dan Gura

Dan Gura, PharmD, MPH, brings over 18 years of experience in the medical, business development, and startup fields to his current role as Senior Vice President at Hugo Neu Capital, LLC.

With a background in pharmacy, public health, and health economics, Dan has a diverse educational foundation, including a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy, a Master of Public Health from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and post-doctoral fellowship training in health economics from Yale University School of Medicine.

Dan's career journey has seen him in key roles such as Director of Business Development/Emerging Technologies at Heller Industries, Inc., where he oversaw a portfolio of technology and healthcare startups, and Director of Business Development at AlgometRx, Inc., a company specializing in physiological measures for drug detection and pain management.

His expertise spans investments, startups, digital health, emerging technologies, medical device development, rapid drug detection, pain assessment and management, as well as patient reported outcomes and health economics.

Prior to his current position, Dan has also played pivotal roles at companies like CommGeniX, where he focused on pain management and healthcare technology platforms, and at the Geriatric Oncology Consortium (GOC) and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, where he contributed to improving cancer care through research and education.
