Guido Hartray
Partner at Marvel Architects
Guido Hartray is a founding Partner of Marvel Architects and a registered architect.1 He is dedicated to creating architecture that contributes to an environment greater than the individual project, using his experience in designing public spaces to inform the social structure within buildings.1 Hartray has led design teams on various projects, including Pierhouse and 1 Hotel at Brooklyn Bridge Park, and the renovation of the Central King Building for the New Jersey Institute of Technology.1 He has also worked on affordable and supportive housing projects, such as Far Rockaway Village for Phipps Houses.1
Hartray's expertise extends to public space design, having led streetscape redesigns for Hudson Square, the Meatpacking District, and Union Square.1 He has taught and participated in design juries at Columbia, City College, Pratt, and NJIT, and has served on the jury for the AIA Housing Awards and Enterprise's Affordable Housing Design Leadership Institute.1
Academically, Guido Hartray received his Master of Architecture from Harvard University and a bachelor's in Environmental Design from Miami University.1 He was also a Fulbright Scholar in Barcelona, studying public space design.1
