Guidione Machava, known as Guid, is a Product Designer originally from Mozambique and currently based in France. With over eight years of experience, he has worked for 23point5 where he developed cutting-edge design tools and led e-commerce design strategies. Before this, Guidione held a Senior Product Designer position at Shopify. He also initiated a southern African version of Shopify, attracting 300,000 companies from three countries.
Guidione's diverse experience includes consulting for notable clients like the World Bank and collaborating with startups in the developer tooling space. He holds a degree in Economics from St. Thomas University in Mozambique and pursued an Honours in Interaction Design at Open Window in South Africa.
Passionate about nurturing emerging designers, Guidione authored 'Design Sutra,' a book on design principles for budding professionals. He founded the World-class Designer School, offering a platform for aspiring designers to enhance their skills. He organized the inclusive World-class Designer Conference, featuring esteemed speakers and recognized as one of Google's best community builders in Africa in 2018.
