Gregory Lewis

Gregory Lewis is the founder of two plain language businesses in Asia, TLecs, Asia's only plain legal English consultancy, and Your Statement, a plain language consultancy for businesses.

His businesses are centered around the belief that plain language improves communication and fosters trust between businesses and clients.

With a background in journalism, law, corporate training, and marketing, Gregory helps lawyers and businesspeople enhance their writing clarity and effectiveness.

Gregory graduated in journalism and worked at the Jerusalem Report before pursuing law at City University in London, where he qualified as a barrister focusing on criminal defence law.

He later practiced as a trust and commercial litigator with firms like Bailhache Labesse in Jersey (now Appleby Global) and Drew & Napier in Singapore.

Having moved from Singapore to Shanghai, Gregory trained Citibank China staff in persuasive English writing and communication skills.

His specialties include assisting English second language lawyers with legal document writing and providing transformational plain language consulting for businesses and individuals.
