Gregory Claycomb

Dr. Gregory D. Claycomb is a Professor of Chemistry at Park University, where he has been since 2008.12 He has progressed through various roles at the university, including Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Full Professor, and Department Chair.1 Dr. Claycomb has also served as the President of the Faculty Federation for five years.1

Throughout his career at Park University, Dr. Claycomb has:

1. Mentored numerous undergraduate students who have gone on to successful careers in chemistry or pursued graduate degrees.1
2. Developed a method using standard operating procedures to guide undergraduate students in research projects.1
3. Received several awards, though he considers his students' success to be his greatest reward.1

Prior to joining Park University, Dr. Claycomb worked as a surface scientist in both academic and industrial settings, resulting in over 50 successful research collaborations at regional, national, and international levels.1

Dr. Claycomb resides in Leavenworth, KS with his wife and five-year-old son.1 His office is located in Science Hall, Room 105 B, on the Parkville Campus.3
