Greg Nichols

Greg Nichols is the Executive Director of Onward Industries, a nonprofit organization based in Los Angeles that focuses on transformative storytelling and connects journalists, writers, filmmakers, and artists with outdoor opportunities. He has held this position since September 2021. Onward Industries utilizes natural spaces and a unique sailing vessel to facilitate storytelling adventures.14

In addition to his role at Onward Industries, Nichols is also the co-founder of Truly Adventurous, Inc., a media platform dedicated to true storytelling. He has a background in journalism and has written for various national publications. Nichols holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy.13 His work often explores themes of adventure and human experience, and he has authored several books, including "Striking Gridiron," which details a historical football team's challenges during a steel strike.12

Nichols is passionate about the outdoors and adventure, often engaging in activities like sailing, camping, and hiking, and he lives on a sailboat with his family.24
