Greg Durrell

Greg Durrell is a Canadian designer and filmmaker born in 1983 in Toronto, Ontario.1 He is the co-founder and partner of Hulse & Durrell, a Vancouver-based design studio that develops brands, products, and films for purpose-driven organizations.12
Durrell's career in design began at age 16 when he started designing websites. In 2001, he worked full-time as a designer/art director at War Child Canada.1 His career took a significant turn in 2007 when he joined the design team for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.1
After the 2010 Olympics, Durrell partnered with Ben Hulse to form Hulse & Durrell. The firm has worked on notable projects such as:
- Rebranding the Canadian Olympic Team in 201112
- Developing brands for various national and international sports organizations1
- Creating design initiatives for the International Olympic Committee3
In addition to his design work, Durrell directed the feature-length documentary "Design Canada" in 2018, which explores the history of Canadian design.13 He has also led the rebranding of Mountain Equipment Company, a Canadian outdoor retailer, in 2021.1
