Graeme Newton

Graeme Newton is the Chief Executive Officer of the $5.4 billion Cross River Rail project, recognized as Queensland Government's top infrastructure initiative aimed at fostering future growth and bolstering the state's economic competitiveness.

With a strong educational background, Graeme completed his Company Directors' Course from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds an MBA in Project Management from QUT.

Having held prominent roles in various organizations, Graeme previously served as the Lead Partner for the Public Sector in Queensland at Deloitte Australia, as well as the Chief Executive Officer of the Queensland Reconstruction Authority, the Director General and Coordinator General at the Queensland Government Department of Infrastructure and Planning, and the Chief Executive Officer at Queensland Water Infrastructure.

Graeme's leadership and expertise in infrastructure and project management make him a pivotal figure in driving the success and legacy of the Cross River Rail project, positioning it as a transformative initiative for Queensland's future.
