Gordon Paynter

Gordon Paynter is a highly qualified professional with a strong educational background in Computing and Mathematical Sciences, specializing in Software Engineering. He obtained First Class Honours in his Bachelor's degree from the University of Waikato and further pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from the same institution.

Throughout his career, Gordon has held several key roles in prestigious organizations, showcasing his expertise and leadership skills. He currently serves as the Manager of Applied Math & Data Science at NextEra Analytics. Prior to this, he worked as a Consultant at Equinox IT and held various managerial and technical positions at the National Library of New Zealand. Some of his roles at the National Library included Manager Digitisation, Manager Business and Programme Support, Programme Manager Digitisation, Senior Application Developer, and Technical Analyst.

Gordon Paynter has also been actively involved in research and software development. He has served as an Executive Committee Member at Unlimited Potential and has experience as a Researcher and Software Developer while being self-employed. Additionally, he worked as an INFOMINE Lead Programmer at the University of California, Riverside, and as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at The University of Waikato in Hamilton, NZ.
