Gonzalo Pérez-Taiman is the Founding Partner and Managing Director at Arpegio, a venture capital firm that focuses on investing in early-stage technology startups within the agrifood sector in Latin America. With over 14 years of experience in founding and managing startups, he has developed a strong background in entrepreneurship, particularly in the context of Latin American markets. His early career included work in environmental sustainability, which complements his current focus on sustainable practices in agriculture and food technology.
In addition to his role at Arpegio, Pérez-Taiman serves as a board and investment committee member for Liquid Venture Studio and The Better Fund. He is also involved as a mentor, advisor, and evaluator for various organizations, including Wayra, UTEC Ventures, Startup Peru, Startup Chile, and LatAm VC, among others. His educational background includes degrees in Business Administration and Environmental Studies from Ithaca College, as well as additional studies in Entrepreneurship, Finance, and Private Equity & Venture Capital from institutions such as CENTRUM and Harvard Business School.12
