Tharakan is the co-owner of StarCycle Santa Barbara, a popular cycling studio that offers fast-paced workout sessions.

Tharakan holds a strong educational background with a BTECH in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, an MBA with a focus on Finance from UCLA where he was a Carter Fellow, and an MS in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
