Dr. GM Shafiullah is an accomplished individual with a rich academic background and a wealth of experience in the field of Electrical Engineering.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics from Chittagong University of Engineering Technology (CUET), Bangladesh, a Master of Engineering (2009), and a Doctor of Philosophy (2013) from Central Queensland University, Australia.
Prior to his tenure as a Senior Lecturer in Electrical Engineering at Murdoch University, he served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Deakin University, Australia, and gained valuable industry experience at the Institute of Water Modelling (IWM) in Bangladesh.
GM's research interests span a wide array of topics, including power systems, smart grid technologies, renewable energy integration, networking, data communication, and computer-aided technology.
His extensive publication record includes over 100 book chapters, journal papers, and conference papers in reputable publications such as IEEE Transactions, Elsevier, and AIP Journals. He actively contributes as a reviewer for leading journals in the field.
As a member of IEEE, IEEE PES, and Engineers Australia, GM is actively involved in mentoring PhD students and is currently supervising five students in areas related to renewable energy integration, microgrid technologies, and demand response. He is also leading a project on 'Voltage optimization technology for Australian Abattoirs', funded by AMPC.
In addition to his research contributions, GM has been involved in teaching and course development at Deakin University and Central Queensland University. He has taught courses ranging from Smart Grid Systems and Industrial Data Communication to Power System Analysis and Design, demonstrating his versatility and expertise in the field of Electrical Engineering.
