Glyn Lloyd

Glyn Lloyd is the Founder and Managing Partner of Newfields, a law firm specializing in immigration services, particularly in the sports and business sectors. He established Newfields in 2017 with the aim of providing tailored immigration solutions, focusing on the unique needs of various business sectors in the UK. His firm operates on a fixed fee basis, allowing for a more collaborative approach to client needs without the pressure of hourly billing.12

Lloyd has a strong background in immigration law, having previously built immigration teams at two prominent regional law firms and managed the immigration service for a Russell Group university, supporting over 7,000 international students and staff. He is recognized as one of the leading practitioners in sports immigration in the UK, frequently advising rugby clubs and organizations like the Rugby Football Union.13

His expertise has earned him accolades, including being shortlisted for Entrepreneur of the Year at the Business Leaders Awards in 2022, and his firm has received multiple awards, such as 'Niche Law Firm of the Year' at the Welsh Legal Awards.12 Lloyd is also involved in professional associations, serving as a Co-Convenor for the Immigration Law Practitioners' Association (ILPA) in the South West, and he regularly provides training in immigration law.12
