Gloria Vailati is a seasoned professional in the technology industry with an impressive track record at companies like Compaq, HP, and Apple. With a background in marketing and business management, Gloria played a pivotal role in driving internet strategies and implementing successful business models for Compaq in Latin America.
During her time at Compaq, Gloria spearheaded the launch of the Presario line in Latin America, establishing it as the leading consumer PC brand in the region. She held various key positions within the company, including marketing director, internet business development director, and new technologies and handheld business unit manager.
Following the merger between Compaq and HP, Gloria continued her successful career by heading the Latin America handheld business for the new HP. She later advanced to lead the commercial desktop business for the region and ultimately became the Director of all PSG commercial products, overseeing a US$1 billion business that flourished under her leadership.
Transitioning to Apple, Gloria served as the General Manager for Central & South America, bringing her expertise to further contribute to the tech giant's success. Being a co-founder of FWTV, the first Latin American web TV channel designed for the Internet, Gloria has demonstrated a keen entrepreneurial spirit.
Currently, Gloria Vailati is the Head of Marketing at RSK Labs, the developer of RSK Smart, the pioneering open-source smart contract platform secured by the Bitcoin Network. She holds an undergraduate degree in marketing communications from Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and an Executive MBA from the University of Houston.
Aside from her professional accomplishments, Gloria is dedicated to empowering women in the tech industry and is a member of the Upward Women Tech Committee for the Argentina Chapter. Her areas of expertise include the information technology industry, internet strategies, P&L management, negotiation, leadership, innovation, marketing, and sales with a focus on the Latin American market.
