During his tenure, he was recognized for his contributions to economic development, regulatory reform, and small business advocacy, receiving multiple awards from the Virginia Chamber of Commerce. He also chaired the House Education Committee and was involved in several legislative committees, including Transportation and General Laws.134
Prior to his time in the House of Delegates, Davis was a Virginia Beach City Councilman and had a career in telecommunications, founding a data analytics company called BW Strategy Group.45
