Glen Neal

Glen Neal is a seasoned professional with expertise in leadership, governance, management, strategy, planning, public speaking, and crisis management. He is renowned for his ability to get things done efficiently and effectively.

His specialties lie in the field of food safety, where he has dedicated his career to ensuring high standards and regulations are met to guarantee consumer safety.

Glen Neal's educational background includes studies at the Executive Programme at the Darden School of Management, University of Virginia, and Environmental Health Science at The Institute formerly known as Wellington Polytechnic.

With a wealth of experience, Glen has held key positions in various organizations, including being the General Manager of Risk Management and Intelligence, as well as the former General Manager (Food Standards), both at Food Standards Australia New Zealand.

Prior to that, he served as the Head of Planning and Preparedness at the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), Manager of Food and Beverage at MPI, A/Manager of Food and Biosecurity Response at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Principal Adviser at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Assistant Director at the New Zealand Food Safety Authority, and as a Consultant at the NZ School of Food Hygiene.
