Senior Mobile Software Engineer

I worked in the Eikon Mobile Team (6 devs and 4 QA) and was involved in the development of the Eikon Universal app for iOS (huge code base of more than 400k lines of code). 
I owned several key components of the app, and was involved in a complete rewrite of the Markets section: i greatly improved the performance of the main view (the scrolling went from 20/25 fps to 55+ fps) and, while maintaining the same features, reduced the code base from 60k+ lines of codes to less than 10k.

Freelance iOS Developer

For MiSiedo, a startup that produces a booking system for restaurants, i lead the development team (4 people). My role was to supervision the whole software stack (server using RoR and client using iOS). I actively developed the iPad restaurateur app which features a complete booking system for the restaurateur, allowing him to manage reservations and his customer list. It featured a real time update of reservations made through the website and the companion iPhone app. I supervised also the development the iPhone app used by customers to make reservations

Lead Software Engineer

I developed a framework (NXLib) that was used as a foundation for Nuxie: a complex software stack that enabled salesmen to quickly present and sell products using an iPad. NXLib was composed of two main parts Core and UI.
Core enabled the definition of the data model using a json as data schema and abstracted all the server communications with a clean and concise API. It supported an offline mode and a two way synchronization with the data stored on the server.
UI was a collection of custom UI controls to ensure great flexibility in the customization area with a strong focus on performance and memory consumption.I was also the lead iOS developer for the Benetton project (http://www.apple.com/ipad/business/profiles/benetton/) that started the whole Nuxie idea.

Freelance Web Developer

I worked as lead developer in a small development team (me and other 2 people) and as technical project manager. I developed a custom CMS in php used for almost all company projects and also worked as technical project manager for the corporate website of Autogrill (http://www.autogrill.com/): this project used an open source cms called Umbraco that we customized for the customer's needs.

For IOAgency i worked as a frontend developer using Actionscript: the company developed a custom natural interface recognition algorithm with c++/directX (similar to Microsoft Kinect, albeit not so sophisticated) that exposed the gesture data through a networking socket. My duty was to write Flash interfaces that connected to this stream of data and reacted accordingly. The company went out of business in 2008, so none of its works are still visible/online.

I worked on several high profile projects as a full stack engineer, including a visual messaging system and an isometric visual chat for TIM (leading Italian communication company). Both were built using Flex (for the interface) and Media Server for the real time backend
