Gilles Patry is an accomplished individual with a strong background in civil engineering and extensive experience in leadership roles within various prestigious organizations.
He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Davis, a Master of Applied Science (M.A.Sc.) in Civil Engineering from the University of Ottawa, and a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Civil Engineering also from the University of Ottawa.
Throughout his career, Gilles Patry has held significant positions, including serving as the Executive Director at U15-Group of Canadian Research Universities/U15-Regroupement des universités de recherche du Canada.
Prior to this role, he has been involved in leadership capacities such as being the President and CEO of Canada Foundation for Innovation, President at Hydromantis, Inc., Director at the Royal Canadian Mint, as well as fulfilling the position of Professor and Past President at the University of Ottawa.
His academic journey includes positions as a Professor at McMaster University, an Assistant Professor at École Polytechnique de Montréal, and roles as an Engineer at esteemed firms like Bessette, Crevier, Parent, Tanguay & Associés (BCPTA) and Alary, Tanguay & Associés.
