Gilbert Passin

Gilbert Passin is an experienced executive in the automotive and electric vehicle industry. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Wrightspeed, a company that develops electric powertrains for heavy commercial vehicles.15

Passin has over 30 years of international executive leadership experience in global automotive OEMs.1 He is known for his expertise in launching new factories, EV vehicles, and components.1

Before joining Wrightspeed, Passin held several notable positions:

1. Vice President of Manufacturing at Tesla Motors, where he:

   • Grew the vehicle manufacturing team from scratch
   • Launched the Fremont factory and Model S
   • Oversaw the launch of several other Tesla factories and EV products12

2. Executive roles at other renowned auto companies, including:

   • Toyota TMMC (launching the Lexus RX and Toyota Corolla)
